Cong-Galway 2025 - Saturday 28 June, 2025

The Cong-Galway sailing race was established by Corrib Rowing and Yachting Club (CRYC) in 1882. Today, the race remains the longest inland water sailing race in Europe.
The Organising Authority is Cumann Seoltóireacht Spidéal.
The dinghy race is open to boats with overall length of 18 ft or less, with Portsmouth Yardstick Number of 1230 or below.
The keelboat fleet is open to keelboats and traditional boats with a length overall of greater than 18 feet.
The race comprises a variety of boats from racing dinghies to Galway Hookers and everything in between. The race is run over two legs with a mid-way break for lunch at Kilbeg pier, and finishes on the River Corrib upriver of the Quincentennial Bridge.
Lunch is included in the entry fee for the sailors.

For safety reasons, the fleet is limited to a maximum of 40 boats.
If the race cannot be sailed on Saturday 28th, then Sunday 29th June will be the first backup date.
