Welcome to Lambs Week 2024, a celebration of the sailing community in Galway Bay and surrounding areas. In this annual get-together we explore the great cruising grounds on our doorstep, connect with old friends and see if our sailing skills have improved as we navigate the Galway coastline.

This year the magical mystery tour will take us to

Thursday 1st of August - Calafort Ros an Mhíl

Once everyone is safely tied up we'll meet up at the Marina at 7.30pm and head by coach to An Cheathrú Rua for BBQ and Beers and back to the Marina later in the evening. No doubt some of the evenings festivities will continue on into the wee hours......

Friday 2nd of August - Calafort Cill Rónáin

Skippers meeting at 11 and we'll likely muster at the Cannon Rock marker for around 12:00hrs, racing to see which boat makes the best time to Aran.

3 course Dinner in Aran Island's Hotel at 8:00pm (€30 per person payable directly at Hotel) followed by prizes and fun.

Saturday 3rd of August - Cloch na Rón

Skipper's briefing at 11am and we'll get underway for one of 2 routes to Roundstone.

• For the Racer's among us we will make our way out of Kilronan leaving Straw Island to Port, through Gregory's Sound around Inis Mór and onwards to Roundstone.

• The Cruisers in the group can take the more direct route to Roundstone likely allowing a short stop for lunch and a ramble around the deserted ruins on Mac Dara's Island.

A night in Roundstone Bay 'on the hook' with dinner at your leisure on board or maybe you and you're crew might find a quiet table in one of the many fine establishments in the town, re-grouping later for the evenings entertainment.

Don't worry about getting home, we'll have a rib on the water....

Sunday 4th of August - Cill Chiaráin

The Final leg of our adventure will take us from Roundstone through the Inner passage around Birmore Island and onwards to Kilkieran where we'll drop anchor for the night and make our way to Coyne's Gastro pub for 5:30pm for some feoil, ól, ceol agus Craic.

Again we have you sorted for getting home, we'll have a rib on the water from 5:30pm
